Sustainable development

The Oekotex label guarantees that all the materials used in the manufacture of Thuasne’s products are biodegradable, are not harmful to the body and are environmentally friendly. Thuasne has successfully strived to design its products so that they contain no pollutants at critical concentrations through very careful selection of dyes, application of specific dying processes, chlorine-free bleaching, low-formaldehyde high-tech finishing, use of pesticide- and heavy metal-free products. Textiles bearing the Oekotex label do not pose any threat to human health. Thuasne is therefore an active player in terms of fostering sustainable development for the benefit of the communities where the Group is present, throughout the world and at all times.

The environment: a company committed to sustainable development
Thuasne’s decisions relating to the locations of its industrial facilities and the processes it uses have always been taken with a view to protecting the environment, both within its sites, which are organised to ensure maximum safety and quality standards for its personnel, and outside: aesthetics of buildings, meticulous purification of waste water, efficient use of energy resources. In particular, significant investments have been made to secure waste and reduce pollution.

Each year, Thuasne invests in the most innovative water-treatment equipment, so as to prevent any pollution of its environment. Packaging recycling etc.

Quality
Thuasne – a company with fully integrated activities – is in direct control of all its industrial sites.
Very early on in its history, Thuasne was already consciously pioneering in terms of quality, successfully introducing an ISO certification system at all its sites around the globe.
Today, the Group is ISO 9001 version 2000 certified.

Fair trade
Thuasne can guarantee that all its products have been produced in fair and honest conditions: this reflects a strong commitment to social responsibility that has always been shared by all personnel and which continues to guide the Group’s choices.

Responsibility and decentralisation

In all of the countries in which the Group is located, the human resources policy encourages the assignment of responsibilities and endeavours to provide all employees with appropriate training tools to enhance their skills and optimise their progress.

Social approach

Thuasne works closely with numerous associations of a medical nature (associations of patients, for housing the families of patients, etc.) together with sports associations: every year, Thuasne founds many training days for young competition athletes.
