Biflex Ideal, a range of medical compression solutions from Thuasne, is designed to treat multiple venous and lymphatic pathologies.
This shortstretch bandage is suitable for traumatic or chronic edema, lymphedema and chronic venous insufficiency and is an alternative to traditional compression stockings.
It can be applied after varicose vein surgery or sclerotherapy and is beneficial in the management of venous ulcers when closely monitored by healthcare professionals, particularly in cases where the ABI is between 0.5 and 0.8..
1 soft, breathable materials (cotton + viscose, see study) IFTH n°DEV004842)
2 elastic bandage : applies a sustained level of pressure over time (see CER)
3 résistant : machine wash at 40°C
4 short stretch bandage : low resting pressure can be tolerated at night

Specifications
- Treatment of edema (acute or chronic).
- Treatment of lymphedema
- Chronic venous insufficiency (as an alternative to compression stockings).
- Following sclerotherapy or varicose vein surgery.
- Treatment of venous ulcers (with ABI > 0.8 or under close medical supervision for an ABI between 0.5 and 0.8).
- Symptomatic treatment of deep or superficial acute venous thrombosis.
- Prevention of post-thrombotic syndrome:
alternative to compression stockings for at-risk patients; - Alternative to compression stockings for the treatment of edema of the legs or swelling during pregnancy.
- Treatment of symptoms related to soft tissue injuries.
- Do not use in the event of known allergy to any of the components.
- PAD (peripheral artery disease) with an ABI < 0.6.
- Skin wounds, abscess, infected skin conditions of a limb concerned.
- Advanced diabetic microangiopathy (if pressure > 30 mmHg)
- Decompensated heart failure.
- Phlegmasia cerulea dolens (painful blue phlebitis with arterial compression) of a limb concerned
- Extra-anatomic bypass.
- Septic thrombosis of a limb concerned.
- Severe peripheral neuropathy.
