Launched in 2013 by Thuasne, the Malleo Dynastab® range offers innovative solutions for the stabilisation and rehabilitation of ankle sprains with its two emblematic models: the Malleo Dynastab® and the Malleo Dynastab® BOA®. In 2025, the Malleo Dynastab® range was extended with the arrival of the Malleo Dynastab® BOA® Open. Its distinctive feature is its posterior opening to ease application.

  • Malleo Dynastab®: this model comes with a classic lace-up system,for targeted tightening and adaptability to patient morphology.
  • Malleo Dynastab® BOA®: features the BOA® Fit system for quick and precise adjustments. This system ensures even compression and an adaptive fit.
  • Malleo Dynastab® BOA® Open: integrates the BOA® Fit system with a posterior opening for easier application, making it suitable for acute care needs.

The range is particularly recommended for:

  • Moderate to severe ankle sprains.     
  • Chronic ankle instability.
  • Ankle pain/oedema.

All about Malleo Dynastab® BOA® Open

The 2 main advantages and specific futures of this new Malleo Dynastab®:

  • Easy-to-apply brace: features a self-adhesive strap at the back to easily position the foot before closure. Under foot sewing removal: the manufacturing process for the open version allows to remove the under-foot sewing. It will decrease the risk of discomfort while wearing the brace.

In addition, the BOA®Fit System1 allows:

  • Quick, easy-to-use, micro-adjustable tightening system for homogeneous compression and a custom fit.
  • Used in many premium sport shoes and sportswear2.
  • Modern/high-end image vehiculated by BOA® brand3.

The advantages of the Malleo Dynastab range

One of the strengths of this range is its versatility and discreet design. Malleo Dynastab products offer a combination of support and comfort thanks to their lightweight 4, thin, rigid, metallic wire stays and breathable, moisture-wicking 3D knit design. Elastic figure-of-eight straps help prevent ankle inversion and eversion.

Use and treatment protocol

The treatment of ankle sprains with Malleo Dynastab orthoses follows a detailed protocol: 

  • Stabilisation or immobilisation: used for partial or total ligament tears.
  • Initial rehabilitation: with the help of a physiotherapist to ensure optimal recovery.

 

Product availability

The Malleo Dynastab® BOA® Open is available from 8 April 2025. Available sizes range from 19 to 30 cm, to suit different ankle shapes.
