SpryStep® Ligament Knee Orthosis (KO) is designed to aid recovery from knee ligament injuries or instabilities by providing necessary stabilization.

This knee orthosis is custom-made from a digital scan of the patient's leg, ensuring a precise fit that enhances both comfort and effectiveness. 
Its composite structure combines strength and lightness, making it durable yet easy to wear.

The orthosis is crafted from a composite structure, combining strength and lightness. 
It includes a synergistic suspension strap system to keep the brace securely in place during activities. It features Thuasne’s TM5+ hinge, which mimics natural knee movement, reducing the risk of abnormal tibial translation and rotation. The adjustable motion control feature allows for customization of extension and optional flexion control to suit various activity levels and rehabilitation needs.

Specifications

  • Biomechanical deficits of neurological, traumatic, muscular or degenerative origin.
    Conservative treatment of knee ligament injuries and/or ruptures (cruciate and/or lateral ligaments).
    Joint instability/laxity (including for knee osteoarthritis).

  • Do not use the product if the diagnosis has not
    been confirmed.
    Do not apply the product in direct contact with
    broken skin.
    Do not use in the event of known allergy to any
    of the components.
    Do not use for patients weighing > 180 kg
    (400 lbs).
    Open ulcers of the foot, ankle or lower leg.
    Severe loss of sensation in the lower limb.

  • Rigid components: carbon fibre - high density
    polyethylene - stainless steel - aluminium -
    polyoxymethylene - vinyl - polypropylene -
    polyamide - epoxy resin - brass - acetal -
    natural latex (in extension assist option only).
    Textile components: polyamide - elastane -

  • SpryStep® Ligament Knee Orthosis (KO) is a custom-fabricated knee brace designed to support and stabilize knee ligament injuries or instabilities. It is suitable for treating knee ligament injuries, ruptures and joint instability.
  • It is custom-made from a digital scan or a scan of a cast of the patient’s leg for a precise fit.
  • The frame of the orthosis is made from lightweight and durable composite materials. The hinge can be made from aluminum or stainless steel.
  • The TM5+ hinge is a Thuasne proprietary design that mimics natural knee movement, reducing the risk of abnormal tibial translation and rotation. It features adjustable motion control for extension and optional flexion to suit various activity levels.
  • There are three stiffness levels to match patient needs. Straps can be added to enhance the suspension and the stabilization of the brace.
  • The orthosis is available in Full Shell and Uband styles. Shells can be anterior or posterior depending of the instability that you want to manage. Shell lengths range from 15 cm to 20 cm.
