Custom made dynamic ankle-foot orthosis (AFO)

Detailed description

SpryStep® AFO Custom is engineered to provide support and stability for individuals experiencing lower limb muscle weakness due to neurological, traumatic, or muscular origins. This orthosis is custom-fabricated from a digital scan of the patient’s leg, ensuring a precise and comfortable fit. The use of advanced composite materials guarantees both strength and lightness, which is crucial for prolonged use1 and patient compliance.

SpryStep® AFO Custom includes different versions to cater to specific needs:

  • SpryStep® Flex: Features a posterior-lateral, spiral strut with a posterior calf cuff, suitable for augmenting remaining dorsiflexor muscle powers in more active users.
  • SpryStep® Original: Incorporates a posterior-lateral strut with a posterior calf cuff, suitable for aiding flaccid dorsiflexor muscle powers.
  • SpryStep® Plus: Comes with a posterior-lateral strut and anterior shell, designed for aiding remaining plantarflexor and knee stability muscle power.
  • SpryStep® Max: Includes a lateral strut with a wide anterior shell, aiding weakened plantarflexors and knee stability muscle power for less dynamic users.
  • SpryStep® Vector: Customizable in shape and stiffness the SpryStep® Vector offers superior control for the most complex conditions and patients.

Each model also includes a molded inner boot.
